About us
Atkins Arb is a professional business that employs fully NPTC qualified and friendly staff to carry out arboricultural work to the highest standard and maintains a close relationship with our customers and the local community, having recently transitioned into Atkins and Candler Arb Ltd, which has led to the expansion of the team and now working alongside a college friend.
We are a local business that has been established for 12 years who are based in Little Hadham covering the Hertfordshire and Essex counties. Our specialist teams cover all aspects of Tree Surgery, with a large range of contracts working on behalf of County Councils, Schools, Parish Councils, Management companies and Private clients.
We are fully insured with 10 million public, 10 million employers liability and we are certified with CHAS.

All Tree work is carried out to BS3998 standard and all staff are regularly kept up to date with the industries best practices, through refresher training courses and internal assessments. Any work that is recommended is always what is best for the Tree's health, even if that means that no work is required, as our reputation is held in high regard and the preservation of Trees for future generations is one of our core values as a company.
Professionalism
We firmly believe in all our workers keeping a professional working relationship with our customer when carrying out the work, this means that when we arrive on the job we will introduce ourselves and explain the work that will be carried out on the day as per the quotation. Once we are finished we will do a walk around check with our customers to make sure they are happy with the work that has been carried out.

Tree Removal
Felling
Removal of the whole Tree using specialist lowering equipment to prevent damage to objects and the surrounding area.
Removal of the Tree by felling
at the base.
Stump Grinding
Removing of unwanted stumps using our specialist machinery which then allows you to re turf or replant in the exact same spot.
Crown Reduction
Reduction of the Trees crown which reduces the overall size of the Tree. This can be done for a number of reason, to reduce the sail effect in high winds, to prevent the Tree from overpowering a garden or to re balance the Tree.
Hedge Cutting
Trimming of Hedges or reshaping
of Bushes.
Site Clearances
The complete removal of vegetation from the site leaving it bare.
Tree Planting & Establishment
Woodland management
Planting of replacement Trees and helping with their establishment.
We carry out woodland management for a large number of clients, the works vary from coppicing a woodland to thinning.
Deadwood Removal
24 hour emergency work
The removal of dead wood from the crown of the Tree, whilst we carry out this work we also remove dying and defective limbs which could become a hazard in the future.
We offer a 24 hour emergency service so if you have had a Tree come down in strong winds or heavy snow and need it removing or making safe we are fully equipped to deal with it.
